In 2021 I redesigned both the Carolina Journal brand/identity as well as the layout of the print edition of our newspaper product. We used this new redesign to update the website as well. The main idea was to convey the sense of stature and authority the now thirty year old publication had amassed with its audience. We also wanted to modernize the design and allow for a greater array of graphic elements (charts, maps, data, etc) to be included. Information in the redesigned paper would be more elegantly and purposefully displayed.
