film production, design, and publishing.
Greg de Deugd is a film producer and consultant with a background in creative direction and digital marketing. He understands the primacy of storytelling across all media and has experience building creative, high-performing teams in a variety of industries.
Greg’s recent leadership experience includes working as the Creative Director and Supervising Producer of Locke Studios at the John Locke Foundation, where he leveraged his branding and storytelling skills toward the creation of successful communications, design, and multimedia products. At Locke he built the infrastructure and put the team in place to assure that the organization could compete effectively in the modern creative and video ecosystem. Greg held a similar role at The Carolina Journal where he rebranded and redesigned their print and digital products.
Highly skilled in storytelling, branding, and project management, Greg has successfully pitched and raised funds for numerous film projects. He wrote and produced the award-winning In the Pines and is currently wrapping up production on The Secret Game, a documentary following the early career of basketball coach and civil rights visionary, John B. McLendon.
Graduating from UNC School of the Arts with a BFA in film production, Greg continues on a life-long path of learning and growth. He holds a masters degree in digital publishing and professional certifications in creative direction, media relations, and executive leadership. He recently formalized his project management expertise by obtaining his Project Management Professional (PMP)® accreditation. He has taught undergraduate courses at N.C. State and School of Communication Arts.
